She's adorable.
Here are some of the gems I've saved under "My Clippings", that wonderful feature on my e-reader:
On organization: "What we don't see we won't use, so let's make sure that when we do open cabinets and drawers, we see everything."
On productivity: "Run your life like a business. Your life is the corporation and you're the CEO."
On budgets: "Be careful! I have so many friends who don't have a penny in the bank but a closet that looks like they have their own NBC series...If you are rich and can afford the finer things in life, by all means do so, but debt over these items is not smart."
On making new friends: "They were not the 'cool' friends that most people are attracted to. But they were generous, kind, and unique human beings who wanted good things for me."
On making love work: "At the end of the day, you're not lovers as much as you're partners, arm in arm, fighting the battles and experiencing the joys in life."
Thinking of myself as the Chief Executive Officer of Rayna, Inc. is so empowering!!! Love it.
See you back here on Monday!

Thanks to this post, I bought the kindle version this morning and I'll finish it today. I'm loving it!
ReplyDeleteThat book sounds marvelous!! I have just ordered it from the library :) I love the quote about running your life like a business. I just have to be careful I interpret it as 'my life has purpose', not that I am CEO of the universe :) Have a wee problem with taking on too much responsibility over here!
ReplyDeleteRita and Clare: Enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteTotally LOVING this book! Thanks for sharing it Rayna! So fun, and just what I needed right now with my 'both my kids are at school and I don't know who I am and what I want to do' stage of life :) I already feel more purposeful!
